isis PROJECT
The Brentford Lock West Project is an ISIS project which focused on an 11 acre site in central Brentford on the Grand Union Canal. The project is being developed in close collaboration with local stakeholders facilitated by a design team including Urbed, Klas Tham and Tovatt Architects & Planners of Stockholm. A Development Framework is currently being prepared which is likely to be submitted for planning in summer 2010. The Development Framework is centred around 5 different character areas: waterspace, pedestrian friendly streets, Commerce Road business area, residential courtyards and a creative hub.
The project has a commitment to reducing carbon and waste and is potentially linked to the delivery of a wider Energy Strategy for Brentford. Visit www.brentfordlockwest.com to view and comment on the latest ideas.
