Andrew Appleyard

Andrew joined the investment industry in 1987.

Andrew manages the specialist real estate funds team. He originally joined Aviva Investors in October 2003 as fund manager of the life funds' out of town retail & leisure portfolio, moving to his present role in November 2007.

Previously, he worked at Henderson Global Investors specialising in property fund management and investment for client funds.  He was heavily involved in the establishment of the HGI Retail warehouse Fund and the Covent Garden Partnership with Scottish Widows. He has also worked in property investment at Healey and Baker.

Andrew holds a BSc (Hons) in Land Management from Reading University and has completed the UKSIP Investment Management Certificate.  He is a member of the Royal Institution for Chartered Surveyors and was the Chairman of Accessible Retail.  He sits on the Investment Property Forum property indirects committee and the AREF indices committee.
